Do you like bar graphs? Do you like cool stuff? Well I think I’ve found the perfect website for you. Coolness Graphed is a single subject Tumblr taking on the task of graphing what’s cool and what’s not. Here is the description from the website: “Some things are cool, some things are not cool. Rad Music // “January Love” by Newtimers
Newtimers are a duo of accomplished songwriter/producers out of Sweden who are wasting no time capturing your soul – as well as mine – with nearly perfect melodies. I was initially attracted this song, “January Love,” because of its title: it was January and, I mean, who doesn’t like a song about love? Upon listening, I was hesitant if I was going to enjoy, but then the chorus hit me like a ton of bricks. I don’t know what it is, but it resurrected something inside me that has had me hooked ever since – these guys definitely know what their doing. The song is driven by the soulful pop harmony of the singer mixed with a perfect blend of filtered piano and stellar production hinting at times to electronic funk. The track is addicting and definitely going to be one of my favorite tracks of 2012.

Shit Pro Skaters Say
“Shit Girls Say” hit the internet and has since then spawned a plethora of offspring: some worthy of your time, some not. Every niche interest and/or stereotype has been included in the meme. Now, skateboarders finally have gotten their turn.
Filmed, written, and produced by the boys at Crailtap, watch Chris Roberts in “Shit Pro Skaters Say.” This one really is only funny if you’re a skateboarder…

Rad Website // Kim Jong-il Dropping the Bass
Single topic Tumblr blogs are all the rage at the moment. And with the recent death of the supreme leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-il, not to mention the myriad random pictures of the guy, someone came up with the idea of Kim Jong-il Dropping the Bass. As a lover of house music, this website put an instant smile on my face. The blog is in its infancy, but the potential possibilities are nearly endless. Check out a few of my faves…

Rad Music // Miike Snow – “Devil’s Work”
Miike Snow exploded all over the music scene in 2009 with their debut self-titled album that, had I found the time to make a ‘Best Albums of 2009′ post, would have been my number one. The trio – Grammy Award winning producers Bloodshy & Avant and the blessed vocalist Andrew Wyatt – have been relatively quite since then: until now.
“Devil’s Work” premiered today right along with a new website from the band. On their Facebook page, they stated their album is finished, but whether or not this song will appear on the album, or if it’s more or less a promo song to get the band’s fans concerned again, is unclear. Regardless, the song has a distinctive sound – from the opening piano melody to the surprising horns – that has got me all excited about their new album.
I’m totally going to listen to their debut when I get home…
