Rad Website // Kim Jong-il Dropping the Bass
Single topic Tumblr blogs are all the rage at the moment. And with the recent death of the supreme leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-il, not to mention the myriad random pictures of the guy, someone came up with the idea of Kim Jong-il Dropping the Bass. As a lover of house music, this website put an instant smile on my face. The blog is in its infancy, but the potential possibilities are nearly endless. Check out a few of my faves…

Rad Music // Miike Snow – “Devil’s Work”
Miike Snow exploded all over the music scene in 2009 with their debut self-titled album that, had I found the time to make a ‘Best Albums of 2009′ post, would have been my number one. The trio – Grammy Award winning producers Bloodshy & Avant and the blessed vocalist Andrew Wyatt – have been relatively quite since then: until now.
“Devil’s Work” premiered today right along with a new website from the band. On their Facebook page, they stated their album is finished, but whether or not this song will appear on the album, or if it’s more or less a promo song to get the band’s fans concerned again, is unclear. Regardless, the song has a distinctive sound – from the opening piano melody to the surprising horns – that has got me all excited about their new album.
I’m totally going to listen to their debut when I get home…

Rad Photography // Peter Sutherland
Peter Sutherland just posted some pictures on his blog of the protests going on in New York City. A small glimpse into The Occupy Movement, these really caught my eye.
