New Banksy in San Diego // web exclusive photo
UPDATE: Oceanside mural of rat is just that – it’s not a Banksy.
I can rejoice! San Diego has been blessed with a Banksy piece (possibly).
Read about and look at it on the following sites: TMZ, SanDiego.com, and SignOnSanDiego.
Check out The Be Rad Blog’s web exclusive photo as well. You won’t find it anywhere else on the web.
So what do you think – real or fake? I’m leaning more towards fake.
Why did he choose to make the “Kite Runner” sign red/orange as opposed to the yellow ones seen in Los Angeles?
I’m used to seeing his rats in black not white. It seems almost too perfect that the wall is black and the rat is white. Questionable right?
The rat seems unfinished does it not?
Just got word that the piece smells like crayons Krylon. I’m not sure if that is his usual medium, but again, questionable.
Isn’t that rat just a “copy” of “Exit Through The Gift Shop’s” cover?
Oh, and it has yet to be confirmed…
Only time will tell.

New Banksy installation
It’s called “Pier Pressure” and it’s wicked genius. Going by the sign in the background, it’s at Brighton Pier. The music, the oblivious onlookers – it’s classic. Check it out below.

Bansky sighting in Los Angeles
Re-post note: This was originally posted on September 2, 2008 on the old version of The Be Rad Blog.
I went on a little day trip up to LA to do some shopping and I came across a BANKSY piece. Can you believe that? Neither can I. Being that he is an England local, I was taken aback when I spotted one of his well known rats near the roof of a building. If you got west on Melrose from the 101, you’ll spot this piece. I am still super hyped on that fact that I saw this with my own two eyes.
