When professional skateboarders switch “teams” it is always unexpected and somewhat of a surprise. I’m sure there are tons of skate politics going on that I have no idea about, but Dan Murphy’s switch from Mystery to Foundation just seems odd. I’m not that concerned, it just kind of came out of nowhere. Check the video below and read an interview here.

Dan Murphy has always been on my radar. The dude is legit. I love how his fresh image doesn’t match the gnar boots he puts on when he rides a skateboard. It makes his skating seem a little unexpected. Besides being a great skater he also hails from North Carolina; my mom’s home state. Holding it down for North Carolina and the east coast, Dan Murphy looks like he has a promising year ahead of him. Good luck Dan!
