Black History Month DFA1979

leave a comment »

Being the shortest month of the year, February always goes by quick. February is also Black History Month. Founded by Carter G. Woodson in 1926, February was chosen in accordance with the birth of Abraham Lincoln and Fredrick Douglass.

Every year I celebrate Black History Month by busting out and listening to all my different versions of Death From Above 1979’s original song, “Black History Month.” While I ought to do more, I feel this something is better than most’s nothing.

Today, let  us celebrate Black History Month together, on what would be the last day of February if it were a Leap Year, by enjoying what Josh Homme thinks “Black History Month” should sound like.
