I’m excited that Belle & Sebastian are coming out with a new album: Write About Love, out October 12.

To me, they are the kings of indie pop-rock. The voice, the charm, the subtle rock n’ roll spirit, it’s all there wrapped up in a sweet little package. From the upcoming album, their newest track “Come On Sister” is quite the example. Give it a go!

If Belle & Sebastian are the kings of indie pop-rock, then Camera Obscura, with their female leading vocals, would be the queen. They exude the same charm while simultaneously radiating their own enchanting sound. The first song I heard by them was “If Looks Could Kill” off their 2006 album, Let’s Get Out Of This Country. It is still my favorite song by them and I think you’ll like it too. Check it out.
