Rad Playlist – 2018 So Far
Digital playlists: are they worth anything? They’re more popular as memes than anything else. That says something about their status within modern culture, right? Whatever…
I just made a playlist but I’m thinking of it as a mixtape cause I burned it to a CD. It has to have been close to five years since I last burned a CD. When was the last time you made a playlist? Burned a CD? Or made a mixtape? Try to remember, and take a moment to appreciate the value of physical formats. The care and concern that goes into moving music from the digital ether into the physical realm is an effort worth treasuring. Be sure to indulge in music you can hold in your hands every once in a while. Like the playlist below…

Rad Music // Marc Baker – “No Place I’d Rather Be”
I think about blogging a lot. I miss it. I just don’t have the time. Sure, I could probably make some more time, but it’s low on my priority list. I’m writing this right now to distract myself from something more important. Go figure. As I was saying, I think about blogging a lot. Marc Baker – “No Place I’d Rather Be”
Marc Baker seems like a fun guy. He exudes a New Wave aesthetic both in his look and sound. He put out an EP recently. The standout track for me is “No Place I’d Rather Be.” I have been listening to this song nonstop. It is upbeat and poppy in the best of ways. A love song of sorts, the melody will make you think of someone special as you get lost in your movement. It makes me want to dance like I’m part of The Breakfast Club. Feel this groove if you know what’s good for you. You can download it for free from his website.
Be Rad. Enjoy.
