Rad Playlist – August 2016

August just flew by didn’t it?

Flux is in the air. There is growth and development all around me. I feel it. I want to be rad with all of my fellow rad humans. People are out there being rad and doing rad things! You and I should be too!

Maybe you need a reminder about how “far away” you are. Or maybe you’ve been feeling like you’re “losing” it. The summer heat doesn’t stop. Will you make “history?” Or maybe you do need more “sunshine.” Whatever you do, “you better” actually do it. You’ve got “everything you need.”

Be Rad. Enjoy.

Rad Music // DJ Invisiboy and his mashups

with one comment

DJ Invisiboy hit me up about his Phonograffiti mix and it’s quite the little jam session. Invisiboy has the skills to create intricate mashups but, above it all, I really fancy his track selection. In the best way possible, it is a bit all over the place. I must say, the opening sample from The Misfits instantenously pulled me in though. And from there, like I said, it’s a bit all over the place; from the necessary rap vocals to the selective melodies of Bonnie Tyler, Fleetwood Mac, Alan Braxe, Miike Snow, etc. – this mixtape is fully of surprise goodies. Just give it a listen and check out the tracklist.

Rad Day // Valentine’s Day super post

leave a comment »

My Valentine’s Day began last night – I cooked my wonderful girlfriend an equally as wonderful dinner. I told her she better watch out; I might replace her as the resident executive chef. I really love Valentine’s Day as it is a perfect excuse to spoil the hell out of the love of my life.

Here’s a hodgepodge of Valentine’s Day goodies for you to enjoy.

For starters, Yeasayer just debuted their video for “I Remember,” directed by Sophia Peer, and, in spirit of today, have decided to release their I Remember EP for free (as a way for you to give it as a gift) from their website. What a rad band, right? Head over to their special Valentine’s Day website to watch the video and download the EP for someone special (or yourself).

Google has a nice Valentine’s Day logo going.

How about some lovey dovey GIFs…

Let’s end this super post with some music. Last year, Breakbot put out a Valentine’s Mix that, although it was put out last year, may still be fresh to your ears. It was to mine. Download it here and check out the tracklist here.

Well…that’s all the Valentine’s radness that I can muster up. I hope y’all enjoyed it.

Be Rad. Enjoy.
