Happy Birthday to my lovely
Today marks the day of birth of the most important person in my life.
I always play “Happy Birthday” by Röyksopp for her on her special day – it makes us both laugh and smile.
I recommend you add it to your music library so on one of your friends’ or special someone’s birthday, you can do the same. (^_^)

Even newer Röyksopp – The Drug
Röyksopp is at it again! They just released a fantastical experience, similar only in feeling to drugs – at least that’s what their selling. “The Drug” is Röyksopp’s intriguing peak into their latest release, Senior. This track is pretty mesmerizing. Consider it skill that this song was intentionally made to be addicting.
Senior is due out on September 13 – it can’t come quickly enough.

Whandom Wiimix Wednesday 7
I’ve got two remixes for you today; two remixes that are on different ends of the my musical spectrum.
First we have a remix of “Swoon,” The Chemical Brothers‘ first single of their latest album, Further. Boyz Noize gets his hands all over this one to make it a pure banger of a remix. The glitchy bass kick and the catchy chorus will instantly be stuck in your head. This song has an energy perfect for the long summer nights ahead, where despite the closing hours of the day, you want to keep going.
Just remember, to fall in love. There’s nothing else. There’s nothing else.
The Chemical Brothers – Swoon (Boyz Noize Summer Mix)
From the energy packed dance floor to the sustained ambiance of the sea floor, the talented duo Royksopp remix the minimalistic pioneer Steve Reich to create a song that makes you feel as is you’re peacefully strolling underwater. “Electric Counterpoint: III. Fast (Royksopp’s Milde Salve)” is such a nice and relaxing track – clocking in just over eight minutes, it’s more or a journey than just a song. What really got me feeling like I was underwater was the fact that this remix totally reminds me of the underwater level in the original Donkey Kong Country. The Royksopp remix is of course better, but I can’t help but think I’ve been transported to an SNES underwater dimension. After listening to this song you feel crisp and cool, as if you had just gotten out of the water.

And here is that Donkey Kong song I was talking about. They totally sound similar.
