Zelda Wii announced today
Like I said yesterday. I am really excited about the announcement of the newest addition to the Legend of Zelda lineup – Zelda Wii. The rumors are flowing, the potential is great, and I can just barely contain myself. Will Nintendo give us something new that strays away from the LoZ standard template or will we see prolific changes to the already legendary game? Either way, I’m just very ecstatic of the potential to be playing a new Zelda game by the end of this year.
To keep the Zelda music mood going, check out what I think is the best Zelda song that isn’t an actual original from the game. RAC puts out amazing remixes and this Zelda jam comprised of various songs from A Link To The Past is no exception. Zelda. Zelda. Zelda.

UPDATE 9:10am PST: The official name of the 2010 Zelda game is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (via fuckyeahlink)
UPDATE 9:21am PST: The new Zelda will NOT be released in 2010. The graphics resemble Ocarina of Time with a slightly polished and cel-shaded look. A new weapon system is used. There is a whip! And a new weapons and tools.
UPDATE 9:30am PST: The new Zelda will use MotionPlus for further control of the sword. New item: The Beetle – which is released by Link and controlled by tilting controller.

Mundane Mondaze Mash-up 7: Zelda Wii
I am a huge Zelda fan. When I say Zelda, I mean the famed video game The Legend of Zelda. E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, starts tomorrow and Nintendo has the floor on opening day. To add to the excitement, Nintendo will be announcing their newest Zelda game, tentatively titled “Zelda Wii” to the public. If your a Zelda fan, I’m sure you’re aware of this. If you’re not a Zelda fan, you should know there a lots of grown adults wetting their pants over the news being released tomorrow. The anticipation is very high as many Zelda fans haven’t been all too pleased with the recently released games. The is much potential to make the newest Zelda game a glorified masterpiece, but the potential to really muck things up is equally as high.
That being said, I figured I’d share a Zelda themed mash-up put together by a guy name Ludachrist. He takes the iconic 8-bit theme of The Legend of Zelda (NES) and mixes in some 50 cent to make one of the best Zelda mash-ups out there. Check it out below and listen to it over and over again as you wait for the news of what Zelda Wii is going to be all about.
